About Tia's Baltimore

Where authentic Baltimore soul food meets convenience and quality

Our Story

Tia's Baltimore was born from a passion to provide our supporters with great food made with love and respect.

Chef Tia Parker grew up in East Baltimore, learning how to cook from her mom Lillian "Rosie" Parker, who made some of the best Mac & Cheese and Sweet Potatoes you've ever tasted in your life. Chef Tia was born with her culinary talents inherited from her paternal grandfather, Willie Parker who had a culinary entrepreneurial spirit. According to her dad Theodore "Skip" Parker, his dad Willie made the best pancakes ever! As you browse Tia's Baltimore menu you'll see her maternal grandmother's Lucille Bailey's smothered burgers there, which Tia affectionately calls "Lucy's Burgers". Tia also borrowed her paternal grandmother Mary Parker's smothered steak and onions, which she would make with cheese eggs and grits or potatoes for breakfast! Today, she combines those cherished family recipes with modern convenience, creating prepared meals that taste like they're made fresh in your own kitchen, and offering catering services that will meet the culinary needs of those seeking an excellent catering experience.

Every meal is prepared with love and respect for our supporters. Whether you're ordering our Prepared meals for easy convenience or booking catering for a special event, you can count on the same quality and care that has made Tia's Baltimore a local favorite.
